Advanced Dental Research on Guided Facial Growth

Leading-Edge Reseach that will Bring Significant Change

The following areas of research currently underway by Dr. Bromage and the Facial Beauty Institute team:

  • Biological principles of maxillary and mandibular remodeling influenced by functional/orthopedic intraoral appliances
  • Principles of neural and osseous responses to forces generated by functional/orthopedic intraoral appliances
  • Cellular physiology of guided remodeling of maxillary and mandibular bone
  • Required forces for predictable and stable remodeling of the maxilla and mandible
  • Guiding craniofacial development in growing children
  • Mechanism of how soft tissue creates epigenetic influences on development of the craniofacial architecture

This ground-breaking work will have far-reaching effects for providing better patient care and treatment, however, there are currently no available grants to help fund this important work.
